Day 01 – BKK/CCU/DEL/KTM – PARO

Arrive to Paro International Air-port from the druk-air sectors mentioned above and after the formalities of Immigration and customs you will be transferred to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan. The drive from the Paro Airport to Thimphu is one hour and the drive is with winding road passing villages and farmlands following the Pa-chu (paro river) till the confluence with the junction of roads. After the confluence follow the Wang-chu (Thimphu river) to the north to Thimphu city. After well settled with accommodation, depending on time, drive around the Thimphu valley to visit the places of interests or walk around the town. Overnight Hotel.

Day 02 – THIMPHU – PUNAKHA

Morning visit the places of interest like the memorial chorten of the 3rd king of Bhutan, Changangkha lhakhang of 13th century, Zelukha nunnery, Folk Heritage Museum, Art & Craft school, Handicraft Emporium. After lunch, start the journey to Punakha the ancient capital of Bhutan. The drive way is toward the east with winding road, ascending to Dochu-la pass Alt.3150m., from here one could enjoy the view of snowcapped mountains on the clear day. You can spend some time for photos as the surrounding of the area is very attractive with chortens (stupas) and temple on the pass. Continue the drive all the way down through the high altitude vegetation and by passing the villages and farmlands to Punakha. The drive is 3 hours. Overnight Hotel

Day 03 – PUNAKHA – TRONGSA

Morning visit the old capital of Bhutan, the famous Punakha Dzong built at the confluence of Pho-chu and Mo-chu with outstanding view. The dzong houses the office of the district governor and the summer residence for the central monk body headed by the Je-Khenpo the religious head of Bhutan. After the visit continue the drive to Trongsa which take 5/6 hours by passing Wangdue Dzong of the Sha province and crossing Peli-la pass 3280 m. The drive is with winding road with views of farm lands and villages, through the conifer vegetations and stop at Chendebje near the Eye Chorten (stupa) for lunch. After lunch continue the drive to Trongsa with the view of valleys and its farmlands and through dense forest of mixed vegetation. Overnight Hotel

Day 04 – TRONGSA – ZHANGBE

To-day is our trekking day. At first, start early drive to Tongtonphey for 3 hours and meet with the trekking staffs and organize the luggage for the trek. The hike starts with gradual downhill with winding trials to cross the mangdi-chu (river), with views of the surrounding valleys and mountains, and with gradual ascend and on the level trial for sometime and meet with steep climb with winding path to Zangbe village the campsite at Alt. 1330 M. Trek distance 7 Km, time 3-4 hours. Overnight tented camp.

Day 05 – ZANGBE – KUDRA

Start the hike on level trial for few minutes passing by the community school and other official units and descend through the pine forest to cross a Phumzor-chu (river) and start the climb to kudra campsite. The hike is always through the sub-tropical forest of mixed vegetation and have good chances to seeing the wild animals and birds. Trek distance 13 km, time 5/6 hours, camp Alt. 1450M. Overnight tented camp.

Day 06 – KUDRA – NABJI

Begin the walk at first on level for few minutes and come with the trial of ups and down through the dense forest, crossing streams with views of surrounding forested mountains. It is encouraged the trek member in group are requested to stick together as there are chances to come across the wild bears, leopards and even tiger. There are chances of spotting the wild animals and different species of birds. Trek distance 14 km, time 5/6 hours, campsite Alt. 1410 M. Overnight tented camp.

Day 07 – NABJI – HALT

To-day the day for leisure or explore around the village by visiting farm houses and talking with the locals. In the evening local young girls from village will gather together to perform local dances to keep you enjoy your visit to their village. As to extend hand of friendship one had to consider leaving some present to them. Overnight tented camp.

Day 08 – NABJI – NIMSHONG – RIOTALA/TRONGSA

To-day the last day of the trek bid farewell to the villagers and take the drive on the rough farm road by passing the Nimshong village on the hill slope to the highway to Riotala and continue the drive to Trongsa passing farm villages and farm fields for 5/6 hours. Lunch stop on the way. Overnight Hotel

Day 09 – TRONGSA – WANGDUE

To-day, drive back toward the western region to Wangdue district, the Sha valley, en-route visiting the Phobjekha valley the winter migration place for Black Necked Crane which is few kilometer form the highway. The journey is with winding road through the forests bypassing the villages, monuments like chorten, across Peli-la pass 3280M., and way down to Wangdue. The drive is 6/7 hours and overnight hotel.

Day 10 – WANGDUE – PARO

Drive to Paro across Dochu-la pass Alt. 3150 M. where you could have magnificent views of Himalayas on the clear day. The drive is through the high altitude vegetation, passing by villages, farmlands, by passing the Thimphu from semtokha to Paro. After lunch visit the places of interest in Paro valley or walk around the paro town. Overnight Hotel.

Day 11 – PARO – SIGHTSEEING

Morning visit Drugyel Dzong the victorious fortress of Bhutan which withstood the Tibetan invaders in the 17th century but unfortunately destroyed by fire and now stands in ruin. On the clear day you could enjoy the view of Mount Jumolhari and the valley to the north. Also take the opportunity to visit a farm house to witness how the Bhutanese family dwells at home. After lunch, visit the National Museum where it displays the ancient Artifacts from Bhutan, Paro Dzong which houses the main administration center and the state monastery for Paro region and stroll around the town. Day 12 – PARO – TAKTSANG/PARO

Hiking excursion trip to Taktsang monastery (Tiger Nest) built on the cliff of a rock, where Guru Rimpoche an indian saint meditated in a cave in 8thC, followed by other great lamas from the neighboring countries. To-day, very holy and sacred pilgrimage site for the Buddhist and daring and adventurous for the visitors/tourists. If time permits, visit Kyichu Lhakhang of 7th century old temple built by first Buddhist king of Tibet. Overnight Hotel

Day 13 – PARO – DEPART/EXIT

Depending on the flight schedule time, drive to Paro International Airport for the flight to your next destination. Your guide and driver will see you to the Airport and bid farewell.
